“?” = not published on the wiki yet (seed price or price tier); those cells use base values and you can override them below. “TBA” = unlock level not yet published.

How to use the crop calculator
- Pick the season you’re planning (or “All seasons” for greenhouse planning).
- Choose your quality tier - if you’re early game, Basic or Good is realistic; purple-star prices belong to high Farming skill.
- Set days and plots: days left in the season (28 max) and how many fields you’ll plant.
- Optionally cap your Manor level to hide crops you can’t buy seeds for yet.
- Read the table: it ranks by gold per field-day. “Harvests” counts every regrow harvest plus replanting within your window.
What this calculator does differently
- Real regrowth modelling. Multi-harvest crops regrow on their own schedule (usually every 2 days, up to 5 harvests) - the calculator replants when a crop is exhausted instead of assuming one planting per season.
- All four quality tiers with per-crop sell prices, not just gold-quality values.
- Seed costs subtracted using Grocery prices (overridable where the wiki has gaps).
- Everything visible at once: 32 crops, unlock levels, growth and regrow days - no paging, no sign-up, no ads over the table.
Worked examples
| Crop | Window | Harvests | Plantings | Yield | Seeds | Profit | Gold/day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 28 d spring | 11 | 3 | 792 | 75 | 717 | 25.6 | |
| 28 d autumn | 9 | 2 | 594 | 44 | 550 | 19.6 | |
| 28 d spring | 5 | 5 | 370 | 55 | 315 | 11.3 |
Reading the Biluochun row: it grows 4 days, then regrows every 2 days for up to 5 harvests (12 field-days per planting), so a 28-day spring fits two full plantings - 10 harvests - before the season ends.
How this calculator works
Data. Crop names, seasons, unlock levels, growth and regrow days, harvest caps, sell prices per quality tier and Grocery seed prices come from the Harvest Town Wiki Crops page and each crop’s detail page, verified 2026-10-07. All prices are coins (the game’s currency).
Formula. For each crop the calculator simulates one field plot across your time window: plant → wait growth days → harvest → wait regrow days (multi-harvest crops, up to their harvest cap) → replant → repeat while enough days remain. Profit = (harvests × sell price) - (plantings × seed cost). Gold/day = profit ÷ days in your window. Totals scale linearly with plots.
Known limitations. (1) The wiki’s own “order” column (e.g. Biluochun 20.4 gold/day) is computed for gold quality over a crop’s full lifespan with unpublished harvest assumptions, so our numbers can differ slightly. (2) Price tiers are missing on the wiki for some crops (marked “?”); the calculator falls back to base price. (3) Scale Powder (instant growth), fertilizers and the Logistics Hub’s order bonuses are not modelled. (4) Game updates can change any number - we re-verify against the wiki and log every change in the changelog.
Frequently asked questions
Which crop makes the most money in Harvest Town?
Per the community wiki’s own ranking, Jinjunmei (winter tea) earns the most per field-day at about 21.6 gold/day, followed by Biluochun (spring tea) at about 20.4. Our calculator reproduces these comparisons for your season, quality and time window - with Best (purple star) quality over a full 28-day season, the top pick is usually a tea crop once you unlock Manor level 19.
Do crops die if I forget to water them?
No. According to the wiki, crop death from lack of watering has been temporarily disabled by the developers. Unwatered crops simply pause growth, so a skipped day delays the harvest but does not destroy the plant.
What does “multi-harvest” mean?
Some crops keep producing after the first harvest: they regrow every few days and can be harvested up to five times before the plant disappears. Teas, beans, chili and corn work this way. The calculator models regrowth and replanting automatically.
Why do your numbers differ slightly from the wiki’s rankings?
The wiki’s order column is earnings per field-day for gold-quality crops over the crop’s whole lifespan, and its exact harvest-count assumptions are not published. Our calculator uses the formula documented in “How this calculator works” - same source data, transparent assumptions, and you control the inputs. Small differences are expected and usually come from replant timing.
Does crop quality change the sell price?
Yes. Each crop has up to four price tiers - Basic, Good (white star), Great (gold star) and Best (purple star). Quality improves as your Farming skill rises, so later-game fields earn noticeably more per harvest. Switch the quality dropdown to compare tiers.
Which seeds can I buy for coins, and where?
Seasonal seeds are sold at the Grocery in Town Square (open 6:00-20:00). A few crops - Wheat, Tomato, Sunflower and Napa Cabbage - had no Grocery seed price published on the wiki at our last check, so the calculator lets you type a seed cost for those.
What should I grow in the greenhouse?
Grow whatever earns the most per field-day regardless of season. With wiki data that is Jinjunmei tea (winter, about 21.6 gold/day at gold quality) - the calculator’s “All seasons” view with a long time window gives the same answer for your quality tier.
